Feeling Adventurous?

The Brief:

• Design a space where kids can escape reality and step into a world of adventure. This should compliment the theme of the surrounding stores in Canberra Outlet Centre which include Adventure Megastore and Katmandu.
• Create a week filled with activities that encourage kids get creative and have fun over their school holiday break.

The Concept:

• The goal was to create an activity zone that would give customers at Canberra Outlet the chance to get creative and add to their shopping experience. Providing an activity parents could stop at and give the kids some entertainment.
• As a part of the July School Holidays, we ran a weeks worth of fun activities for shoppers to get involved in. With the theme of adventure, we offered a rotation of 5 different daily activities.
• Our Adventure Zone sessions included Animal Masks, Adventure Treat Jars, Binoculars, Mini Jungle Jars and S’mores Packs. These activities allowed kids to tap into their growing creative skills and push their jungle flair. By far the favourite activity were the S’mores Packs, with sweet delicious chocolate and marshmallows are we really that surprised.

The Result:

• A successful activation at Canberra Outlet. Running these sessions allowed customers to feel more connected in the community. Especially in winter when it can be hard to find entertaining activities for kids to be involved in.
